Information Technology Services (ITS)

The ITS staff make up SCSU's campus network service providers. They make certain the machines and programs of the SCSU computer network function well and fix them when they do not. They also plan how to bring technical innovation to campus.

Networking

ITS staff members design, install, and fix campus computer networks. They connect people to the campus network and give support to all campus users. They also establish and maintain SCSU's connection to the Internet.

Servers

Staff members maintain and offer help with the campus-wide computer servers including e-mail, World Wide Web, database and Desire2Learn (D2L) servers, and the many departmental file and print servers.

Database and Application Development

Faculty members and departments turn to ITS staff members to develop and maintain databases. The staff works to make that data easily accessible over the World Wide Web.

Library Systems Support

The ITS staff services all of the high tech equipment in the James W. Miller Learning Resources Building . When faculty and staff work in that building, whether they have office there or temporarily use one of the new smart classrooms, or any of the computer networks, they find help with the equipment and the software by contacting ITS.
