Reimbursement for Film Development Policy

Purpose:

This policy specifies the procedure to be followed by SCSU departments and campus units to obtain film development services for instructional purposes.

Policy:

Learning Resources & Technology Services (LR&TS) will provide film development services in support of instruction for SCSU departments and campus units. Film development services are not provided for personal use.

Procedures:

  1. Drop off film development requests at the Circulation Desk in the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center during open hours Monday through Friday (allow a minimum of one week processing time).
  2. Circulation Desk employees will process the request and notify the user when the job is complete and ready for pick up.
  3. LR&TS will not be responsible for the payment of invoices or reimbursement of receipts for film development that is dropped off directly at film processing centers by departments, campus units, or individual SCSU employees. (This is in accordance with MnSCU System Procedure 5.14.5 and MN statute, “An expenditure or obligation authorized or incurred prior to encumbering funds is illegal and ineligible for payment until made valid and is in violation of M.S. 16A.15, Subd. 3.”)
