New databases:
Academic Search Premier has replace InfoTrac. This decision was made at a state level.
New course-management software:
D2L has replaced WebCT. InforMedia Services does regularly scheduled training and special sessions for small groups or individuals. Visit http://ims.stcloudstate.edu and follow the registration link or e-mail d2l@stcloudstate.edu.
New methods to locate journal holdings:
Finding fulltext articles is easier with our new system. This button
appears beside your search results. FindIt will steer you to the appropriate
database. If we do not have it in electronic form, it will check our
library catalog.
New virtual reference service:
Ask-a-librarian Our new virtual reference chat service connects you with a live librarian. This service is available to from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Research QuickStart
One of the most difficult tasks is identifying the appropriate resources for a topic. To make this easier we have created Research QuickStart: http://research.stcloudstate.edu/. Select according to department name.
