International Education Week: No Boundaries 2013

iew, international education week

International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that celebrates the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

First held in 2000,

This annual initiative aims to promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange by encouraging the development of programs that prepare Americans to live and work in a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study in the United States. (IEW Factsheet)

International Education Week: No Boundaries 2013 takes place November 9-16. The Miller Center Library has a display highlighting library materials that support study abroad, learning about world cultures, and countries represented by SCSU international students. There is also a drop box in the Library to collect books for the Worldwide Book Drive. Books will be collected through the end of November. For a full listing of events at SCSU, see International Education Week: No Boundaries 2013.
