Guide to the Papers of "John Fischer"
The writings of "John Fischer," pseudonym, represent a collaboration between Ruel E. Fischmann and Joanne Fluke (husband and wife).
Ms. Fluke was born ca. 1943, daughter of Cliff and Esther Gibson; grew up in Swanville (Morrison County, Minnesota); graduated from Swanville High School in 1960; attended St. Cloud State College; graduated from California State University at San Bernardino; taught grade school in Minnesota and in Michigan. She has one son, John Fluke.
Ms. Fluke has published several novels under her own name, including "Vengeance is Mine", in 1986.
Mr. Fischmann received a B.A. and M.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles. He taught in the Philosophy Department at St. Cloud State University from 1968-1984. He left St. Cloud to pursue a career as a television writer. His credits include the program "Crazy Like a Fox."
