On April 9, 1974, professional bowler Dick Ritger gave a bowling clinic at Atwood Memorial Center. Ritger bowled in the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) from 1964 to 1979, winning 20 titles. He was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1978.
