As part of campus May Daze activities, Elton John headlined a concert at Halenbeck Hall on May 15, 1972. Tickets cost $1.50 for students and $3 for the general public.

According to the May 19, 1972 edition of the Chronicle, Elton John opened with the song "Tiny Dancer" and also performed "Levon."
